Allah said,",{"kind":14,"text":15},"quran","﴿ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡقُدُّوسُ ٱلسَّلَـٰمُ ﴾",{"kind":11,"text":17},"(He is Allah, beside Whom La ilaha illa Huwa, the King, the Holy, the One free from all defects) (59:23).",{"kind":11,"text":19},"Also, the Two Sahihs recorded Abu Hurayrah saying that the Prophet said,",{"kind":21,"text":22},"hadith","« أَخْنَعُ اسْمٍ عِنْدَ اللهِ رَجُلٌ تَسَمَّى بِمَلِكِ الْأَمْلَاكِ وَلَا مَالِكَ إِلَّا اللهُ »",{"kind":11,"text":24},"(The most despicable name to Allah is a person who calls himself the king of kings, while there are no owners except Allah.)",{"kind":11,"text":26},"Also the Two Sahihs recorded that the Messenger of Allah said,",{"kind":21,"text":28},"« يَقْبِضُ اللهُ الْأَرْضَ وَيَطْوِي السَّمَاءَ بِيَمِينِهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: أَنَا الْمَلِكُ، أَيْنَ مُلُوكُ الْأَرْضِ؟ أَيْنَ الْجَبَّارُونَ؟ أَيْنَ الْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ؟ »",{"kind":11,"text":30},"((On the Day of Judgment) Allah will grasp the earth and fold up the heavens with His Right Hand and proclaim, 'I Am the King! Where are the kings of the earth Where are the tyrants Where are the arrogant')",{"kind":11,"text":32},"Also, in the Glorious Qur'an;",{"kind":14,"text":34},"﴿ لِّمَنِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡوَٲحِدِ ٱلۡقَهَّارِ ﴾",{"kind":11,"text":36},"(Whose is the kingdom this Day Allah's, the One, the Irresistible.)(40:16).",{"kind":11,"text":38},"As for calling someone other than Allah a king in this life, then it is done as a figure of speech. For instance, Allah said,",{"kind":14,"text":40},"﴿ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ بَعَثَ لَڪُمۡ طَالُوتَ مَلِكً۬ا‌ۚ ﴾",{"kind":11,"text":42},"(Indeed Allah appointed Talut (Saul) as a king over you.)
